Belugas Win at Bloomington, 3-0
|
The Bloomington Longnecks went down to defeat to Edo Culley and his Brinkley teammates. The final score was 3-0 in favor of the Belugas. The save went to Ewan Atwood, his 11th this season. The Belugas improved to 25-20.
The result might have been different for Brinkley, had it not been for Luis García, the 24-year old shortstop . García stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Brinkley up, 1-0. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It was a solid team effort," said García after the game.
