Multi-HR Day for Clark as Belugas Overpower Disaster, 14-7
The Brinkley Belugas knocked off the Port Royal Disaster, 14-7, at Ballpark of Port Royal. John Clark, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Brinkley won. The second baseman was 2-2 with 2 home runs and 3 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Gary Wilson earned the win to go to 3-0. He allowed 3 earned runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts. Brinkley is 18-17 and Port Royal, with the loss, 18-17.

Clark contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Brinkley in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Clark took a changeup from José Blanco and stroked the home run to left. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Belugas to leap in front, 2-1.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Clark said. "We did a good job of that today."
