The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes faced a tough opponent in Texas pitcher Carl MacPherson, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Crane Field by a final score of 3-0. MacPherson went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Santa Barbara reliever George Eisenhauer was the winner. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Manuel Torres. Adam Garrison picked up the save, his 7th.
Santa Barbara took a 3-0 lead on Tom Haymon's 5th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Texas pitcher Manuel Torres in the bottom of the seventh.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Santa Barbara skipper .
Santa Barbara bumps their record to 17-14 with the win.
