The Bloomington Longnecks got a superb performance from first baseman Manny Diéguez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Santa Barbara. The Golden Cranes won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Diéguez was named the player of the game. He was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Santa Barbara is in 6th place in the Premier AAA with a record of 16-14.
Santa Barbara relied on the hitting of Rocky Zolman to pick up the win. The third baseman ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the third inning to put the Golden Cranes on top, 4-0. For the game, Zolman had 1 triple and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Zolman said.
