Rocks Lose to Lynx in Walk Off
|
Plymouth first baseman Syed Sarkar had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Sarkar went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, even as Calgary beat the Rocks, 6-5. Sarkar was named the player of the game despite the loss. Plymouth is in the throes of a 9-game skid.
Michael Ward was the walk-off hero for Calgary. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lynx first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"We found a way to get it done," Ward said.
