Bakersfield Nobles starter Alberto López pitched a strong game against the Scranton Supernovas at Jerome Grounds, leading the Nobles to a 3-1 win. Bakersfield, at 15-7, occupies first place in the Premier AAA.
Early in the game, designated hitter Omer Yurtseven had a 2-run double for Bakersfield. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Nobles on top, 2-0.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Nobles manager Enrique Castro, "I like our chances."
