San Antonio starter Tadayuki Ito pitched effectively against the Ottawa Nationals at Nationals Park. The right-hander led his team to a 7-3 win. Ito got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 8.1 innings. Ito allowed 3 earned runs. Ben Lieske earned the save for San Antonio, his 18th of the year.

San Antonio took a 4-3 lead on Kamakakoa Kaponianani's 57th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Kaponianani hit in the top of the ninth, left Ottawa pitcher Aki Sato visibly frustrated.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Kaponianani told the San Antonio Citizen. "It's as simple as that."

The 5th-place BC raised their record to 53-48.
