Olympia designated hitter Kahutea Eperaima had a good game, even if his team did not. The Ogres dropped a 6-5 decision to Ottawa at The Ogre Den. Eperaima was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs. Jeff Arocha picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-4. He struck out 5 in 6 innings. Jesús Lara closed the game out for Ottawa, earning his 1st save.
It could have been a different outcome for Ottawa, had it not been for Júlio Moreno, the 26-year old left fielder . Moreno contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Ottawa up, 6-4.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Moreno told the Ottawa Gazette. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
Ottawa now owns a record of 42-57.
