Bethesda Atoms starter Al Gagne turned in an exceptional performance against the Richland Rails at Rails Ballpark, resulting in a Bethesda win, 4-2. Jules Goux picked up the save for Bethesda, his 4th of the year. Bethesda is now riding a 12-game win streak.
Bethesda relied on the hitting of Tomás Gonzáles to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Atoms on top, 4-2. For the game, Gonzáles had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Bethesda manager Raúl Méndez.
