BC Deal Miners Painful Loss
The Marquette Miners got a sterling performance from second baseman Zhen-bang Kwan, but the BC still prevailed, 7-6. Kwan was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 1-1 with a walk and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs. The winner was San Antonio reliever Ben Lieske, now 7-4. The loser was Jorge Vega. With the win, San Antonio goes to 50-42, while the Miners fall to 44-48.

José Vera was the walk-off hero for San Antonio. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the BC designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Vera told the San Antonio Citizen.
