The Akron Blimps beat the Ottawa Nationals, 10-4, at Nationals Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of third baseman Donnie Magee, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Eddo Mud, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7. Akron used the timely hitting of Frank Brinton to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Blimps ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
