Highlanders Suffer 6-1 Setback
|
The Billings Polar Bears topped the Asheville Highlanders, 6-1, in M3L Double A action at The Igloo. The player of the game was Billings pitcher Joe Abshire. Abshire went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-4. With the win, the Polar Bears have a record of 32-45.
Yi-da Chow, who is tied for 10th in the 3AA with a .379 on-base percentage, came through for Billings with a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. The catcher went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 runs batted in.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Abshire told the Billings Observer.
