Austin Lifts Highlanders to 14-6 Win
Imps Park was the site for M3L Double A action featuring the Ithaca Fighting Imps and Asheville Highlanders.

The Asheville Highlanders topped the Ithaca Fighting Imps by the score of 14-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop David Austin. Austin was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Highlanders on the day. Asheville has now won 5 games in a row.

Asheville used the bat of Carsello Scruggins to get the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Highlanders ahead, 10-6. It was his lone hit in 6 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Mark Everhart.
