Atoms Jolt BC with Late Rally
|
Bethesda and San Antonio duked it out at San Antonio Field and the Atoms came out victorious.
The Atoms faced a stiff challenge from San Antonio pitcher Ed Abood, but persevered to claim a win at San Antonio Field. The final score was 6-3. Abood went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Bethesda reliever Jules Goux picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Shadi Zafar absorbed the loss. Suhaila Zainuddin recorded his 17th save for Bethesda.
Bethesda needed the clutch hitting of Sandor Addicks to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Atoms on top, 5-3. For the game, Addicks had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"At least I did my job," Addicks said.
Bethesda is now 36-27.
