Akron Blimps starter Odmar van Hees was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Richland Rails, 4-2. Akron is now 32-16, 2˝ games up in the Menard's AA.
Akron relied on the hitting of Derek Healey to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Blimps on top, 3-2. For the game, Healey had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Richland manager Greg Keys said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
