Dormer, Fighting Imps Too Much for Nationals

Ithaca and Ottawa got after it at Nationals Park.
A 3-RBI performance from Graeme Dormer, who is tied for 4th in the 3AA in home runs with 8, helped the Ithaca Fighting Imps beat the Ottawa Nationals, 7-5. Jeffery Brock locked down his 8th save.
Ithaca used a timely hit from Alaska Abney to get the win. The designated hitter delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Fighting Imps on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We've got a great group of guys," Abney said, "and we're having fun right now."
With the win, the Fighting Imps improved to 21-9.
