Ogres Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
Marquette designated hitter Sze Qi had a good game, even if his team did not. The Miners dropped a 5-4 decision to Olympia at Marquette Stadium. Qi went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Philip Hynes was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. The Ogres, now 4-8, have not found much traction so far in 2037.
In the top of the first, Jack Lynch pounced on a changeup from Jeff McDermott and hit a 2-run double. It gave Olympia a quick 2-0 lead.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Lynch said.
