Loss to Shredders Extends Kingston Township Losing Streak
|
The Kingston Township Knights got a sterling performance from pitcher Currito Fonseca, but the Shredders still prevailed, 4-2. Fonseca was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings allowing 4 runs. Hollywood reliever Seung Pak picked up the win, bumping his record to 7-1. Currito Fonseca was collared with the loss. The slumping Knights have lost 6 straight.
One important at-bat came with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the seventh inning. Facing Kingston Township hurler Currito Fonseca, Chris Payling, who is tied for 3rd in the 3L in stolen bases with 37, hit a double. The Shredders went on to win.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese.
