Dodgers Throttle Shredders, 7-1
|
Brooklyn starter Morris Prinkey put a stranglehold on the Hollywood offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Dodgers to a 7-1 win. Brooklyn reliever Shinzo Kumagai was the winner. His record is now 9-2. The losing pitcher was Jason Starkey. The Dodgers now have a record of 48-53 with the win over Hollywood.
Brooklyn took a 3-1 lead on Tony Wonder's 29th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Wonder hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hollywood pitcher Jason Starkey shaking his head.
Wonder told the Brooklyn Today: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
