The Kingston Township Knights defeated the Montana Pandas, 6-3, in Menard's Third League action at Cloverdale Legion Park, with Kingston Township pitcher Ray Goolsby named player of the game. Goolsby, now 4-6, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 2 earned runs. The Knights are now 28-51, while the Pandas fall to 24-55.

Júlio Rodríguez had a big 2-run home run for the Knights in the bottom of the first inning. With Kingston Township trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from Enrique Valle and stroked the home run to right. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Knights ahead, 2-1.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Knights manager Rayzor Ray. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
