Mejía Now 5-1 After Subduing Knights
|
Panama City Piranhas starter Román Mejía turned in an exceptional performance against the Kingston Township Knights at The Tank, resulting in a Panama City win, 4-2. The Knights, now 27-51, have lost 6 in a row.
Mejía was effective for Panama City, seldom allowing the Knights to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 103 pitches over 8 innings. He limited Kingston Township to just 1 run on 4 hits.
"Enjoyed this one," Mejía told the Panama City Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
