Brinkley first baseman Guy Toussaint picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Alaskan Humpbacks, 4-3. Ewan Atwood locked down his 2nd save. The win lifts Brinkley to a record of 5-4.
Toussaint contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Brinkley in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Toussaint took a curveball from Octávio Valdéz and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Belugas to leap in front, 3-1.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Toussaint said.
