Sunset District right fielder Roderick Simpson made his presence felt in the 8-4 Fog triumph over the Alloway Halberds. Simpson was 3-5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Clay Pryor earned the win for Sunset District. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 3-2. Abraham van der Meulen notched his 2nd save in 2 chances.

The Fog got a lift from left fielder Steve Williams who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning off Gerald Plomp. It was his 22nd RBI of the season and put Sunset District in front, 5-4.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Williams.
