The Jersey City Tritons relied on the hitting of third baseman Júlio Costa to stop the Florida Men, 10-3. For the game, Costa was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. António Martínez got the win, improving to 3-2. He worked 5 innings, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. The Tritons bumped their record to 40-31 with this latest triumph.
The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when Costa hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Tritons into the lead, 4-3.
