Multi-HR Day for Herman as Men Overpower Lake Monsters, 7-2
|
Benefiting from Matt Herman's productive game, the Florida Men downed the Vermont Lake Monsters, 7-2. Herman hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Men. Robert Cagle picked up the save, his 1st. Florida currently is in 9th place in the Silver AAA at 13-26.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Herman, who is tied for 4th in the SAAA in home runs with 7, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Men into the lead, 2-0.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Herman told a Florida Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
