Lloyd Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Augusta in Walk-Off Win
The inspired effort of Alloway catcher Manny Gonzáles was not enough to prevent a 4-3 loss to the Augusta Timber Hawks. Gonzáles was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Edmond McCord in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Masaharu Sakata took the loss. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for the Timber Hawks.

The Timber Hawks were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when first baseman Pat Lloyd turned a first pitch sinker from Masaharu Sakata into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Augusta a thrilling 4-3 win.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Lloyd told the Augusta Herald.
