|
The Augusta Timber Hawks topped the Pawnee ParksNRec, 3-2, in USSL Triple A action at Timber Hawks Ballpark. The player of the game was Augusta pitcher and Valencia, Venezuela native Santiago Ramírez. Augusta reliever Gil Herrera picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Milton Mathews took the loss. The win takes Augusta to 4-4.
Randy Sallah was the walk-off hero for Augusta. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Timber Hawks designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Ramírez told a Augusta Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
