The Lancaster Farmers topped the Chesapeake Continentals, 7-4, in USSL Double A action at Farmers Field. The player of the game was Lancaster pitcher and Delmas, Haiti native Robert Alves. Jasper Kirby got the save, his 23rd in 24 chances. Lancaster is now 48-46, Chesapeake 30-64.

Lancaster grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Ray Carey delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Farmers.

"We'll savor this win," Carey told the Lancaster Observer, "then get ready for the next game."
