Irving rode a good effort from starter Jesús Cruz to beat the Lancaster Farmers at Farmers Field. The final score was 4-2. The win was credited to José Colón in relief. His record improves to 7-2. Tung-chi Ran took the loss. Cheung Lai notched his 7th save in 8 chances.

Irving used the timely hitting of Phil Beck to capture the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blue Sox on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Beck said after the game.

The Blue Sox improved to 48-45.
