Ruíz hits 10th home run, Whales Move to 45-24
A 4-RBI performance from Manuel Ruíz, who is tied for 5th in the SAA in RBI with 52, helped the Virginia Beach Whales beat the Lancaster Farmers, 10-8. Virginia Beach reliever Danny Richardson picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Matt Brown took the loss. The Whales now have a record of 45-24.

Kyle, Texas-born David Warren came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded and the Whales trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single to left to put Virginia Beach on top.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Bernie Drake.
