Blue Sox Topple Farmers with Late Rally
Despite a great performance by Lancaster left fielder Fernando Sandoval, the Irving Blue Sox defeated the Farmers by the score of 5-4 at Blue Sox Ballpark. Sandoval was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. Irving reliever Joe Martarano got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Jean-Marie Beck was tagged with the loss. Irving's record now stands at 32-28, placing them 5th in the Silver AA.

Irving took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, center fielder Ánibal Leobardo hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"It was a solid team effort," said Leobardo after the game.
