Serna Goes Wild, But Rawhides Win
|
The Belvedere Park Rawhides had to overcome a big game from Chesapeake designated hitter Ricardo Serna to leave Field of the Rawhides with a 11-8 victory. Serna was 3-4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The winner was Ron Pomar in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Mike Marsh took the loss. Joe Fisher sewed up the save, his 4th.
Ken Gill took Mike Marsh deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run home run put the Rawhides on top, 11-8. In all, Gill had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Gill said.
Chesapeake has now lost 5 straight.
