Fernando Sandoval made an impact in the 7-4 Lancaster win over Irving. Sandoval, who is tied for 3rd in the SAA in doubles with 14, was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs. Jasper Kirby earned his 12th save in 12 tries. The Farmers now own a record of 22-23.
Lancaster used the bat of Du-yang Zhu to get the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Farmers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Sandoval told the Lancaster Observer.
