Whales Come Back Late to Clip Ghosts
Behind a solid performance from left fielder Jorge Díaz, the Virginia Beach Whales defeated the Casper Ghosts, 6-5. Díaz went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Whales. Virginia Beach reliever Danny Richardson was credited with the win, to go to 2-1. Melvin Conner took the loss for Casper. With the win, Virginia Beach goes to 16-10, while the Ghosts fall to 11-15.

Virginia Beach grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the eighth, when Díaz, who is tied for 10th in the SAA in home runs with 4, hit a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Whales out in front, 6-5.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Díaz said after the game.
