Lancaster played host to Irving at the friendly confines of Farmers Field.
The Lancaster Farmers topped the Irving Blue Sox, 6-1, in USSL Double A action at Farmers Field. The player of the game was Lancaster pitcher and Ajax, Canada native Jean-Marie Beck. The Farmers improved to 9-12.
The Farmers grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out, Eibe Schmidt hit a solo home run off Joe Holland, putting Lancaster in front, 3-1. For Schmidt, it was his 3rd home run of the season.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Beck said.
