Phoenix Hotspur Topples Lancaster, 4-3

The Phoenix Hotspur Youth knocked off the Lancaster Farmers, 4-3, at Grenadiers Ballpark. Nathan Pruitt, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Phoenix Hotspur won. The third baseman went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Phoenix Hotspur reliever Derek Jones picked up the win to move to 3-0. Billy Threepwood suffered the loss. Neal Burns earned the save for Phoenix Hotspur, his 6th of the year.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when right fielder Carel Oskamp hit a single. The Youth went on to win.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Lancaster manager Luis Barroco.
The loss drops Lancaster to 7-11.
