|
The Sacramento Redlegs defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 11-4, at Sacramento Sanitation Station today. Leading the charge for Sacramento was designated hitter Héctor Amaya. He went 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Ricky Sellers was the winner. Over 5 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Kyuso Ageda finished the game for Sacramento and earned his 1st save.
With Sacramento leading 7-4 in the bottom of the eighth, Amaya came up to bat against Salt Lake City pitcher Arthur Clough. Amaya hit a fastball to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 13th home run of the season put the Redlegs on top, 11-4.
