Luis Tañón helped his team muscle past the Houston BC, 6-5. In the game, the Syracuse right fielder was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Syracuse now owns a record of 40-55.
Tañón had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 1-2 changeup from Ed Abood, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Starks a 6-5 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Tañón.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Tañón said.
