Flyers Turn Back Indianapolis, 8-6
|
Pennsauken played host to Indianapolis at the friendly confines of Pennsauken Park.
The Flyers had to overcome a good performance from Indianapolis pitcher Alexis Zambaco to claim a 8-6 win at Pennsauken Park. Zambaco went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Pennsauken reliever Mario Hurrado was credited with the win, to go to 6-2. Tom Hegedus took the loss for Indianapolis.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when right fielder Arturo Annunziato, who is tied for 10th in the 3AAA in triples with 3, hit a single. The Flyers went on to win.
"We maximized our offense today," said Pennsauken skipper Jeff Walsh. "That makes everyone's life easier."
At 46-49, the Flyers are currently 7th in the Menard's AAA.
