Drummers Topple Redlegs, 6-1
|
Tortolita Drummers starter Karl Dandleton was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Sacramento Redlegs, 6-1. Dandleton, now 9-4, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. Mariano Núñez got the save, his 2nd in 2 chances.
In the bottom of the first, Armando Chamú hit a 2-run double for Tortolita. The 17th double of the season for the Tortolita catcher put the Drummers on top, 2-0.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Tortolita manager Wilson Alvarado.
The second-place Drummers lifted their record to 58-33.
