Day Helps Salt Lake City Cruise to 12-3 Win
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Aaron Day, the Salt Lake City Buzz defeated the Syracuse Starks, 12-3. Day went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Buzz. The win was Magnus Scheving's in relief. His record improves to 6-2. Denver Milne took the loss for Syracuse. The Buzz have now won 5 straight.

Salt Lake City used the timely hitting of Tak-wai Jia to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Buzz on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Ralph Wood. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
