The Houston BC topped the Hamilton Coyotes, 4-3, in M3L Triple A action at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The player of the game was Houston pitcher and San Juan, Puerto Rico native Bernardo López. Ed Abood earned his 7th save in 8 chances. The BC now have a mark of 35-45.
The outcome might have been different for Houston, had it not been for Walt Miller, the 28-year old left fielder . Miller stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put Houston up, 4-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
Hamilton manager Ken Beach said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
