Red Pandas Lose to Racers in Walk Off
|
Indianapolis right-hander Jeff Merritt helped his team edge Sioux Falls by the score of 2-1. Merritt kept the opposing lineup in check. Indianapolis improves to 52-27 with the win. They lead their division by 3˝ games.
Richard Trevithick was the walk-off hero for Indianapolis. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Racers third baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Sioux Falls manager Todd England. "The effort was great."
