The Tortolita Drummers grabbed a 6-3 win over the Salt Lake City Buzz at Drummers Ballpark. Tortolita shortstop Tso-i Wang was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs to earn player of the game honors. Scott Thompson, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 9 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 6-3. Dave Seals picked up the save for Tortolita, his 15th of the year.

Scotty Glenn put Tortolita in front, 3-0, when he hit a 2-run home run off Rod Watts in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 7th home run of the season.
