Syracuse and Indianapolis duked it out at Speedway Field and the Starks came out victorious.
The Syracuse Starks picked up a win at Speedway Field, knocking off the Indianapolis Racers, 6-3. Starting pitcher Ollie McDaniell was an essential part of his team's success. McDaniell picked up the win for Syracuse, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 7-2.
Ernesto Souza helped out the Syracuse cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the third baseman was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs.
