Red Pandas Lose Again, 5-2, to BC
|
The Houston BC picked up a win at Houston Park, knocking off the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 5-2. Starting pitcher Silverberry Mouhon, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Mouhon picked up the win for Houston, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-3. Ed Abood closed it out for his 3rd save.
Houston right fielder Robby Arnold contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball into right-center field for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the BC ahead, 3-0.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Sioux Falls skipper Todd England.
Houston has now won 3 in a row.
