Red Pandas Lose Again, 5-4, to BC
|
Houston starter Bernardo López pitched effectively against the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at Houston Park. The right-hander led his team to a 5-4 win. Júlio Rodríguez closed the door for Houston, picking up his 5th save of the year. The Red Pandas, now 25-28, have lost 6 straight.
Houston took a 4-3 lead on Carlos Hernández's 54th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Hernández hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Sioux Falls pitcher George Frazier visibly frustrated.
"I liked his command," said Houston manager Juan Casas. "Bernardo was throwing strikes."
