Flyers Walk Off with Win
|
The Pennsauken Flyers defeated the Key West Coral Reefers, 4-3, at Pennsauken Park today. Leading the charge for Pennsauken was first baseman Michael Cochran. He went 3-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times. Pennsauken has run its win streak to 5 in a row.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher Juan Gabriel came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Key West pitcher José Marín, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Pennsauken on top, 4-3.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Gabriel said.
