Guillama, Fighting Dachsunds Beat Racers, 6-5
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds downed the Indianapolis Racers, 6-5, at Speedway Field. Manuel Guillama led the way, going 3-for-4 for Ellenburg. Earning his 9th save of the year was Enrique Castillo. The Fighting Dachsunds raised their record to 15-22.
Ellenburg used the timely hitting of Sameen Shaw to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Fighting Dachsunds on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm not out here to win a beauty contest," said Shaw. "Obviously."
