The Tortolita Drummers topped the Key West Coral Reefers by the score of 10-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Armando Chamú. Chamú was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Drummers on the day. Gil Brown got the save, the 1st for him this season. The Drummers now have a record of 18-10 with the win over Key West.

Chamú contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Tortolita in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Chamú took a fastball from Jim Eisenmenger and stroked the home run to left-center. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Drummers to leap in front, 4-3.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Chamú told the Tortolita Observer.
